IMU Ball 2010 - Audacieux

Okay this post should have been up weeksss ago! But I was pretty busy with things and couldn’t find the time to sit down and blog about it. So here’s the overdue post on the IMU Ball 2010. :)

This year, the theme for the ball was Audacieux which means ‘dare to be’. It was held on the 10th of April [yes, I know it’s long overdue] at The Royale Chulan. I must say the Committee did a very good job. Dinner was served fine dining style, performances were really entertaining and different from what you usually get [compared to high school and college proms where you get students to perform. This year, we even had Chinese acrobats! And not to forget, a light display! ] and we had Vanessa and Pamela Chong as our emcees! :D Plus, goodie bags were stuffed with tons of sponsored items [think health magazines, shampoo samples, spa vouchers, free gym trials and more!]. And we got a shot glass as a souvenir. :)

Technically, this ball wasn’t my graduating ball but students from other semesters were also allowed to go. It’s just that you might not know 11 out of 12 of the people there on that night. >.< But if you’re there with a small group of people you know, it’d be a fun night already! ;)

So my day started off by getting my make up and hair done in One Utama.

Hmm.. Wavy hair.. Go or no go??

[Heels looked gorgeous, no? But it was a killer that night with a capital K! -.- ]

Well this is somewhat of my hairdo that night. I kinda released a few tresses then realising that I didn’t take a picture.

But it was basically something like this.

For those of you who are wondering where I got it done, I did it in Shu Uemura in One Utama.

I think the make-up artist did a very good job. Just request for smoky eyes. :)

Meal for the night.

The smoked salmon roulade. I thought this was the best dish for the night. :)

Passion fruit sorbet.

Chicken ballotine with braised chestnut, truffle potato and lemon thyme juice.

They could have just said chicken with potatoes. >.<

Tiramisu.. Sadly, the green tea ice cream melted when it reached our table. -.-

I would say that this year’s ball was an awesome one. It was a wonderful experience and I had a good time. :)
