Genting Trip Part 2

Day 2 [21.01.10 Thursday]

It was pretty amazing that all of us managed to wake up at about 9ish the next day, seeing how late we all slept the last night. We went for brunch at MarryBrown. That’s one name that hasn’t been heard around here for awhile, eh?

After brunch, [the breakfast sets were pretty measly.. ], we went to get tickets for the outdoor theme park!

For those who think that going to theme parks on a weekday during schooling terms enables one to avoid queue-ing for rides, you guys are greatly mistaken, as were we.

Oh oh, and we [me.. ] were almost tricked into getting senior citizen tickets [for a cheaper price] by these old couple! Gosh, you can’t just trust anyone these days, can you?? Thank God for the boys who came to the rescue.

So after getting our tickets [without getting con mind you!], we went off to the first ride we saw, the Cyclone.

[The swingy chair ride wasn’t open! ]

And Ern Ying finally conquered her fear for theme parks!

[She’s never been to Genting’s outdoor theme park before! Never! ]

Then we decided to go on the cart thingy that brings you to this supposedly haunted house. Pfft..

They really need to upkeep the place. Nothing jumped out to scare us and all the ‘scary’ paintings on the wall were already fading for goodness sake!

Bad ride.

Then it started drizzling!!

So since we bought an All Park ticket, we headed indoors. After going for the 4D motion master, we went on the ferris wheel.

[Since the Euro Express wasn’t open. Tough luck huh.. ]

Oh and we also went on the bumper car!! Which isn’t as cool anymore since we all can drive now.

I used to think it was SO cool when I was younger.. But it was still fun bumping people around nonetheless!

Then when the light rain finally stopped, outdoors we go!

Erm… They thought that the Energizer battery mascot thingy looked like he was advertising for a Colgate advertisement. Hence the smile and the thumbs up..

Then we went on the Corkscrew [no pictures.. ] and then decided to queue for the Go-Kart ride.

The queue was insanely long!

And the most depressing thing bout the whole thing was that when it was finally our turn, it started raining!!!

After waiting bout 20-30 minutes for the rain to stop, we thought it wasn’t worth the wait and went indoors. Again.

And we went on the bumper car again! And went to watch the other 4D motion master.

And went for a snack at McD’s. [The prosperity burger set is close to rm20!! ]

Then when the rain decided to finally stop again, we went back out to finish off the remaining rides.

I don’t know why, but this ride always helps me release all my tension.

Maybe it’s because I scream my lungs out every time I go on it! But totally exhilarating!

[The thing that freaks me out most bout this ride is the whole long-hair-get-caught-in-machine-and-head-comes-off-scenario! That’s why I make sure I tie my hair into a bun and use a hood every single time I’m on this ride! ]

Jimmy Lim even went on it twice! And yawned!

As it was getting dark and mistier, we decided to head indoors to the Arcade!

The drum game that conned us off our tokens! It didn’t even give out any coupons!!

Dinner at some Chinese restaurant. My wantan noodles with shui gao was pretty good!

After dinner, some of us wanted to go to the Haunted Adventure while some did not. So we split up. As I’ve been to the haunted house before, I didn’t want to go there again so some of us went back to the hotel to wash up while the rest went for it.

[We ALL know who was the scared-est one! ]

Then when everyone got back and was all cleaned up and in their pj’s, we had another round of poker! With a larger bet this time.

And let me introduce to you, the Dealer/Entertainer for the night.
