So how’d you guys celebrate the new year? Family dinner and fireworks? Well we did the same but this year my family decided to celebrate with a turkey dinner.
I know I know, thanksgiving is long gone but then again we can never give enough thanks to all that we have, no? :) Seeing that we got a whooping 4.5kg turkey, we couldn’t possibly finish it ourselves. So we called on all our relatives to come eat with us! :D But we would have still invited them anyways if the turkey was any smaller. hehe..
We had the whole traditional Western kind of dinner with the salad and the mac & cheese and even croissants!
But we couldn’t possibly lose the Asian touch so my mum also made yam cake! Which was real yum!
Have you guys ever ordered the extra large pizza from Dominos? My uncle brought it over and I hate to admit this, but this is the first time I’ve ever seen a pizza this huge! The picture is like a comparison between the size of my head and the pizza. :p
The look of utter concentration.
While waiting for the fireworks to start, my lil cousins and my brother played the Xbox. Oh and in case some of you didn’t know, I live in a condo. Hence, we get to wait at home to watch fireworks instead of getting stuck in massive traffic jams. :)
After they got bored with Guitar Hero, it was picture taking time! :D
And then we went down to play pool. We have a game room in the condo which house the pool table so yea.. It was hilarious watching my lil cousins play pool. Cause they play by their own rules. –.-
Then after they got bored of that, we went up to watch Armageddon. It’s kind of ironic how we were watching a movie about the end of the world when a new year’s bout to start. :p But it was a good movie nonetheless! :D
Halfway through the movie, we heard loud bangs. That was the cue that the fireworks had started. We paused the movie and ran to the nearest window or the balcony. The fireworks display were pretty but sadly, I couldn’t get any nice shots. :/
Oh and is it just me or did the fireworks started earlier this year? Even before it was 12am. But maybe my watch’s just slow. hehe..
All in all, it was an enjoyable celebration with my family.
2009 was filled with good memories that I will cherish forever but for now, let’s welcome 2010 with open arms and make it a kick-ass year! :D
