Snapshots!

Universal Studios Singapore!

I’m currently on my 5th day of holiday!! *whoooop* I’m gonna make this hols worth it, I tell ya! Cause I know with a blink of an eye, I’ll be back in the Lecture Theatre, with my notes and highlighter at hand. –.-

If you’ve read my previous posts, you would have known that I was on a one month study break. So in between the break, my family decided to go to Universal Studios Singapore! Initially I felt pretty reluctant to leave my study table and my huge stack of notes for roller coasters and mummies but then I thought, what’s 2 days worth of relaxation? And I’m so glad I went! I had the time of my life! I didn’t feel guilty whatsoever throughout my 2 day stay there! >.<

edit 1The Universal Studios mandatory photo!

Okay this is alil retarded cause there’s a lady there.. –.- But it was SO hard to get the right picture with so many people there that day! Pfft! And we were in a hurry to get in so that we could follow my sister’s schedule! [Yes, she made an itinerary so we could skip all the lines.. :D ]

Okay this blogpost is gonna be more of a photorrhea but I’ve separated the pictures into sections and I’ll give a short review bout each place.

Hollywood

The dancers were really good. They were doing like a gazillion flips and whatnot.

Ed Westwick, anyone? ;)

I think they did a really good job with Hollywood! The atmosphere felt so.. real! They didn’t even leave out any details! I really felt like I was walking on a street in the States. :)

3

Kung Fu Panda!

The line to take a photo with him was crazy long! [Yes you need to queue if you wanna take pictures with all the figurines and mascots. –.- ]

4

Marilyn Monroe.. She even had the accent to match her outfit and make up! Well done!

28

Okay, honestly, I can’t put that face to a name.. Someone remind me?  :/

He kinda freaks me out alil tho.. >.<

8And the ‘Best Girlfriend’ award goes to…

Chloe Khoo!!!!! :D *claps claps claps* [self-proclaimed much! >.<]

The thing I loved most about Hollywood has got to be the souvenir stores!!! They have such cute merchandise!! If only they didn’t cost so much. :(

9 Check out this SUPER CUTE CAP!!! :D

Was so tempted to get one that says ‘ACTOR’ for the boyfriend..

This show/ride [?] is a must go!! I felt so inspired by Steven Spielberg! He made me feel like taking up film making! >.< As you can see from the photo below.. :D

19

And THAT’S A WRAP!! ;)

10

Such a tourist-y shot! But I laike.. :D

DSC_0772

This was where we had lunch cause bro wanted something Western. The place was really cool! I love the interior design of it! I felt like I was eating in a movie set! The burger was alright. Nothing special though..

These boys were SOOO cute!!! omg.. I really couldn’t tell if they were lip singing or not cause if they were, they surely did a great job! They really got the crowd going! Crowd pleasers they were. :)

Sci-Fi

30

15

The ride that everyone’s talking about!!!

Battlestar Galactica…. O.O

16

It’s actually 2 separate rides. You can choose the ‘Human’ track or the ‘Cyclone’ track. The ‘Human’ track is more about the speed while the ‘Cyclone’ track was more about the loops and spins. Sadly, WE ONLY SAT ON ONE OF THEM!!!! ARGHHHHH!!! My BIGGEST regret there! :((((( We sat on the ‘Human’ one first and decided to go for something else and come back for the ‘Cyclone’ one later but we ended up watching performances and didn’t have enough time for the ‘Cyclone’ one.. BOOO.

11

My sister and I! Photos are all thanks to her!

I guess the main highlight of Sci-Fi was Battlespace Galactica.. Nothing much to see there..

Far Far Away

DSC_0650

The castle was really really purrdyy… :))))

And the Shrek 4D movie is a must watch too!!! It’s so incredibly cute!!! :D

DSC_0710

It was kinda a bummer cause it was really hot when we were at Far Far Away.. So we couldn’t really enjoy the view with the sun in our eyes.. :(

14 Look how cute the potion bottles are!!!!

But they cost a bomb and it wasn’t really practical to get them cause you can’t close the lid fully cause there’s a permanent hole for the straw. [Unless you’re like 5 years old then I guess it’s a different story] so we just stared at other 5 year olds walking around with them.. :(

13

Sis and I. I thought we look really alike in this photo!

7

I’m a princess!! Bring me my magical pony!! :p

It’s so awesome how they let you take pictures with the merchandise without you having to buy any back!

>.<

Egypt

DSC_0620

Ohhhh the Revenge of the Mummy ride was awesome! Totally unexpected! We didn’t think it would be that scary so we got our grandma to come with us. Okay, at least we know now she has a healthy heart. >.<

Check out his abs, yo!

I’m really amazed at how they focus so much on the details. Look at the paintings! Even when you’re queuing up for rides, you’ll be entertained by all the decorations around you!

Madagascar

32

DSC_0915

Hehe thought the skeleton was a cute touch..

The boat ride in Madagascar was really cute.. I think kids would really like this one!

20

Okay this was actually a street somewhere in Hollywood.. But I’m too lazy to move it up to the Hollywood section.. >.<

But look at how real it looks! Like out of a movie set right??

21

My sis and I ended up taking tons of photos here! :D

22

23

All ready for America! :D

Then we stopped by a hat shop.. And did we go crazy or what?! [with the hats I mean..]

24

35

Hehe Mummy and the super cute sunglasses.. :D

34

We found the perfect sunnies for my brother!!! [He’s really into his guitar, you see..]

The Lost World

DSC_0676

Dad and bro.. with giant T-rex that looks kinda fake in my opinion.. I think it’s the colour.. :/

DSC_0678

I enjoyed this ride! It made me drenched though despite paying $2 for the plastic bag aka raincoat.. –.-

It’s definitely not your typical Sunway Lagoon ride.. lol

DSC_0684

I found this so cute!!

25

The water performance.. Quite cool..

27

Bro trying to surf.. haha!

29

Another attempt before we left..

My hands should have been at the bottom though.. Ah wells..

Overall, my family and I enjoyed ourselves alot! Took crazy lots of pictures and had fun posing with all the merchandise and mascots.. There weren’t that many rides [have to go to DisneyLand for that!] but the atmosphere was really nice. I didn’t feel like I was in Singapore at all! Until you start sweating and you realise how hot and sunny it is.. That’s the only downside about the whole thing.. Might have even gotten a shade tanner.. –.- But if you’ve never been to Universal Studios, go for this one! Especially if you’re living in Malaysia cause it’s so nearby!! :D

12

So let the holidays begin!! :D
